By Val Hello everyone.
I hope you've had a good week. Well what a couple of weeks we've had here!! Firstly Blackie and Bluie have finally stopped being broody, they were hogging all the best laying spots and refused to move. I know the big humans were getting quite worried in case they weren't eating or drinking enough, every time they came out and moved them B and B would wait until they left and then run back to their spots again, refusing to move. I got so fed up I created my own spot in the hedge. To be honest even now I pop over there for a bit of peace and quiet. Cornflake and Frosty have set up their own beauty parlour and every evening they will clean your beak for a small charge. They are very good at it and there is often a queue for beak clean hour, they do it just before we go to bed so our beaks are nice and clean for the morning. Charlie seems to get his done free of charge, I'm not sure why. He is a funny Cockerel and has recently started to come into the new coop rather than the old one, he can often be found following Green around the garden. We have had all sorts of weather here this week from beautiful sunshine to terrible rain and thunder storms, thankfully there is a great big tree we can all shelter under as the rain comes. Some of the girls had a face off with the three 4 legged animals, I think they are called dogs, we know we have a fence between us so they can't get in. The small human with blonde hair has finally named some of the new girls. I think a few are called Kebab, Pie and Roast. I heard one of the bigger humans laugh and tell her she shouldn't call them that but I am not sure why. Have a lovely weekend we are watching the Euro Chicken Games on Saturday and hope the England Chicks do well. Please do share, like and add comments as there is a growing Chicken community out there and we would like to see how far we can spread our wings. Take care Val
