Weekly Cluck 30th April 2016

This weeks post is bought to you by Val.

Clucking good morning to you all.

This week has seen the new girls & Charlie settling in to our community & some intruders.

We are laying some really good quality eggs for our human friends & thank all of them for returning the box things the humans sell our eggs in. I don't want to appear big headed but my eggs are by far the biggest, which is why I have to make so much noise when I lay them.!!

We have a new feeder & water trough and the writing on it says "omelet", I found this funny as that's what eggs make - cluck, cluck, cluck.

Intruders

Our neighbours, The Crows, have been popping in & eating our food without an invite. We are waiting for Charlie to chase them off but he just hides under the tree with us. We might have to come up with a plan on how to stop this happening.

Any ideas please help us & comment on this post.

Have a clucking good week

Val.

Dear Val

We were sorry to hear about the crow problem. I'm guessing a girl needs to relax when she is laying eggs.
Have you seen those things that look like birds of prey as bird scarers? Mention it to the humans.

Good cluck

Jo and Shelley xx

Hi Val, Crows are very intelligent birds. We have some "problems" here in sunny Portugal with crows, they peck at the pool room doors as they can see their reflection in the doors and windows. Tony gets quite annoyed with them as they also take the rubber seal out of the windows. You sound as if you have the rest of the girls under control, just watch out for antics from Charlie, he looks quite a charmer x keep on clucking
